Cash boost for summer events

Five local community events have been awarded cash from the County Council.

This summer, activities in Bourton, Northleach, Clapton and Andoversford will receive grants totalling £20,000.

The money aims to boost the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing the community together after the challenges we have all faced in the last two years.

Cllr Paul Hodgkinson backed a set of local projects which received funding: "Only 22 events were supported across the whole of Gloucestershire so I'm really pleased our area has got 5 of those! Something to look forward to."

The projects supported locally are the the Charter Fair and Platinum Jubilee Event in Northleach, the Platinum Jubilee Event in Bourton, the Summer Fete in Andoversford and a summer event in Clapton on the Hill.
